GRAVEYARD WORK
Graveyard work has its place in Hoodoo. Some rootworkers work with the spirits of the
departed. Not all rootworkers will do this type of work and with good reason. This type of
work can be dangerous, not only to the worker but also to innocent people. This type of work
should only be done by experience rootworkers. A new rootworker should not try to do this
type of work. I'm not trying to scare anyone, I'm just speaking from experience.
I know it has been said that you can work with any dead, well yes you can but let me tell you
this is not safe. If the person you want to work with is unknown to you then you could be
headed for trouble. You don't know anything about this person, just because this person was
a soldier, a mother, or a father doesn't mean they will do what you command them to do.
They can turn on you and take over the work. Again I am speaking from experience.
The best advice I can give you is if you choose to do graveyard work then please work with
people who knew and loved you in this life. Just because someone has passed on doesn't
mean they have changed, if they were nasty in life then they will be more so in death.
Petitioning the dead to come to your aid is a very powerful work; but in the hands of a novice
it can be very, very dangerous. Again I am speaking from experience.
Please don't just go willy nilly and jump into something you know nothing about because you
read how to do the work somewhere. I don't care who wrote the information; not even
myself. If you don't have experience in this type of work then don't try it! If you want to do
graveyard work then find an experience worker who can give you HANDS ON TRAINING.
If you don't ever listen to anything else I say please listen to this. My view as a teacher has
changed on this type of work. Instructions on this type of work should not be taught by me
or anyone else unless it is hands on training. People who know me and know my website

October of 2009 I was contacted by a client of another worker. This client wanted me to bury
